In the past I’ve been led to believe that the Canadians were not known for their senses of humor. But a reader (who must have realized I needed a laugh–thanks Peggy) recently sent me the following billboards. They’ve completely changed my mind. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Happy Tuesday!!

LOL, Lois. thanks for the grins.I love the Mary Kay one. After the RWA conference in Dallas one year coincided with the Mary Kay conference I've always wondered if 'cult' might be a possibility. Were you there? Do you remember the satin sashes and ribbons they wore and the throne in the lobby where the 'grand illustrious leader' was worshiped? Now, don't get me wrong. I've known and loved several Mary Kay consultants over the years, but these women at their National convention were hard core. They had more rules than the Supreme Court. No low heels. NO bare legs. No open toed shoes. No being seen in public without mascara.Yikes. I wouldn't have lasted a day.Anyway, thanks again.

  2. What a way to start the day. Very funny!

Very cute, Lois. Cindy, I was in Dallas that year. Man, I thought RWA conferences were crazy. Mary Kay's topped ours!

  6. Hysterical! Love getting a smile first thing in the morning.Oh, I remember that Mary Kay conference. What a hoot. The first time I got on an elevator in shorts they looked at me askance until realizing I was Not Mary Kay approved. I also have known very nice Mary Kay people. One of the elementary school moms I've volunteered with has a pink Mary Kay car!

My favorite is the Ritalin one, LOL. I've often wonder why they can't just put it in a spray can so I can dose my whole classroom…!
