First – Sincere apologies. My internal calendar is off a day. I thought tomorrow was the day I was supposed to blog so I’m posting later than I would have liked to.
Having said that, I’m here now and have some really great information to share with you.
Yesterday was Veteran’s Day. We here at Topdown love our Veterans. As you know, some of us were even fortunate enough to be able to contribute short stories to SEAL Of My Dreams, a tribute to our SEAL heroes and all veterans. It was a labor of love and the book was released one year ago today.
To date, SEAL Of My Dreams has raised $130,000.00 for Veteran’s Research Corporation. We want to thank each and every one of you who paid your hard earned money to buy this collection of stories and help the cause.
Now I have some even better news. Amazon has decided to include SEAL of My Dreams in their big Kindle Daily Deal promo on “Black Friday” Nov. 23. This is a VERY big deal for us and a nice compliment to be one of only 25 titles picked from the entire catalog for their special that day. SEAL Of My Dreams will be priced at an amazing $1.99 on that day only.
So please mark your calendars and go out and buy MANY LOL copies of SEAL of My Dreams. they’ll be great for Christmas presents, birthday gifts, ‘just ‘cause I love you’ gifts and again, you’ll be contributing to medical research that benefits our veterans. We talk about supporting our military veterans, but that effort should be more than a bumper sticker, as Bell Books and the writers who contributed to SEAL have unselfishly demonstrated. Apparently there’s a logjam of veterans’ benefit claims at the VA and some vets are facing long waits. The VA has long been under-funded and buried in red tape. We need to speak up as individual citizens–do what it takes to make the VA function efficiently.
This will be a wonderful gift for some friends who just got Kindles. Wonderful collection of stories!
